Farewell to Let's Get Peachy Desgin Team!

Hey Everyone,
Check out Let’s Get Peachy!

I wanted to share a something funny that I found about dogs. When I saw this, I knew I had to scrapbook it. I used pictures from both my dogs, Ebony and Kahlua. I tried to find pictures in which they were looking at the camera and saying seriously. There are several times that I have thought about these 10 things when I frustrated with them. As much as I treat them like my kids, they really are just dog.

I am sad to say that this will be my last layout with Let’s Get Peachy. I hope to be back sometime in the future to inspire you again.

Thanks for looking and I hope my layout makes you smile.

Masculine Cards

Have you guys checked out The Paper Trail???
It is a great blog that has challenges twice a month. This challenge was to complete Masculine Cards. So I created these two cards for a friend who is a teacher and likes to give cards to all the teachers in her school for their birthdays.

I used Hobby Lobby's dark paper stack for the base of these cards. I like to make two cards at a time because if I cut an 8.5x11 in half, I feel like I waste the other half by not making a card with it. Plus I used the same paper for both.
I just love birthday bash Cricut cartridge. How cute is that bird and the lama?????

Check out this week’s Saturday Sketchy Challenges over at Simply Scrapping Craft.

I turned this sketch on its side to work with the picture I used.

Joe took this picture on Christmas day. I was really tired after opening gifts and fell asleep on the couch with my dog Kahlua. No matter how old I get, I still get excited Chritmas Morning.

Father's Day Gift for Joe's Dad!

Hey Everyone,
I feel like I have not had any time lately to scrapbook. I think that it might have to do with the summer days. I just cant sit in my scrap room while I know the sun is shining outside and the pool is calling my name. :)
I was in the pool today and realized that I should make something for my husband's dad. We did not get a chance to see him on Father's Day as he was busy. So we are going to visit him tomorrow. Joe and I recently took family pictures and his dad has not seen these photos yet.
So after getting out of the pool I knew I could put something together for him.

This is a shadow box that I have made before but made it with holiday items. This time I just used pictures instead. I love the way it came out. The colors look great together and I think this is a better idea than just giving pictures in a frame. I also made a card to match.

Let's Get Peachy June 16th Sketch

Hey Everyone,
I turned this sketch on its side to accommodate my pictures.

These pictures are of my oldest dog, Ebony. She is a ham and I love her so much. I seen some pictures taken like this of another dog and wanted to try it out. While Ebony was laying on the bed one day, I got my long focal lens out, so I could get the close up shots without scaring her away. I LOVE the way the 5x7 turned out. The other two photos are great supporting photos.
Thanks for looking and I hope the sketch and my layout gives you inspiration.

Let's Get Peachy - Smile Challenge

Hey Everyone,

Smile! We say this almost every time we snap a photo. What a wonderful word and what a wonderful action to take. Don't you wish we all had more smiles in our lives? Well let's celebrate that simple little facial motion with a page or two in our albums. Don't you love to see the smile of a loved one? Young or old, a smile lights the face and shows the inner beauty of the subject. Harness the power of that smile for just a second and immortalize it in a photo and then on a layout.

These photos are of my youngest dog, Kahlua. Often when I am walking through the house I find her doing things that make me smile. These are just a few pictures that do just that!

Thanks for looking and I hope my layout gives you inspiration to find a great photo that makes you smile!

Let's Get Peachy Sketch

Hey Everyone,

Can you believe that it is already June.
Are you ready for summer? I know I sure am. I am hoping to get a lot of sun time this summer.

I turned this sketch on its side to accommodate my pictures.
I also substituted several images instead of the swirls used in the sketch.

These pictures are of my nephew, surprise, surprise. He seems to be a big part of my scrapbooking right now.  These pictures are from his birthday 2010. I wanted to get him a sandbox for Christmas 2009, but my mom did not think that he would play in it. Over the summer last year, the neighbors behind my mother got a sandbox and my nephew was in the sandbox, even when the neighbor kids were not outside playing. I decided to get him this little turtle sandbox. It even has a lid. He LOVED it. My mom said he spent hours outside playing with it every day for a week after his birthday.

Thanks for looking and I hope the sketch and my layout gives you inspiration.
