Hunger Games Board

Hey Everyone,
It is that time again for my posting at The BugBytes.

Last month I showed you guys a key chain I made for the Hunger Games. Well I was searching online for Hunger Game Party Ideas for a friend who is putting together the party for her daughter. I cam across this blanket and thought I could do this in a poster style.

I used both the Cricut and the Cameo to come up with my own style of this blanket. I love how it turned out.

I love these frames from Michaels. I have used them on a ton of projects.
Plus who can beat a $1

I painted the frame pink and used Imaginisce Berrylicious to decorate it.

Cricut - Simply Charmed
Action Wobbles

Basketball Name plate

Hello Everyone,
I am so in love with the new silhouette cameo. I am hoping I can talk my husband into getting one...
I was able to cut out the Jordan image for this name plate, so easily on the Cameo.

Hello Kitty

Hey Everyone,
I was having so much trouble with this name plate. I think Hello Kitty screams RED, but the person did not want red to be the main color for this Hello Kitty. So I had to really put on the thinking cap to create this one. I found the pink paper at Michaels and then everything came together.

Sports Name plate

Hello Everyone,
This name plate came together very quickly once I got the sports paper. This little boy is into skating boarding, football, basketball and baseball. I bet he is keeping his family very busy.

Sketches with a Twist ~ May Layout

I turned the sketch so it would work with my photos. These pictures are from the Amway Open House.

Princess Name Plate

I really enjoyed making these name plates. I Love these two... It has been a while since I was able to actually do anything girly, with 2 nephew and what seems like people only having boys.

Hunger Games keychain

Hey Everyone,
Check out this post over at The BugBytes.
After several months of conniving by my friend Erin, I finally gave in and read The Hunger Games. GREAT book. The movies was just as great. Erin's birthday was around the opening of the movie. I wanted to make her something that had to do with The Hunger Games. I found this idea on pinterest.

I got all my supplies from Hobby Lobby
These Items were found in the jewelry section.

This one in the wood section

I painted the edges black

I attached the disk with out glue

I added a few sheets of cardstock so there would not be a bulk on the side with the disk

Then covered the image with liquid glass

I made Erin a birthday card to go with her new key chains.

Plus a little purse to hold the new key chains.

Giraffe Name Plate

Hey Everyone,
Today Ia'm here to share another name plate I made for a co-worker.
I have been super busy with these things.

Elephant Name Plate

Hey Everyone,
I have been super busy getting these name plates done for people at work. They are very simple to complete. The board is 12x24 and I got them at Michaels. I just covered them with paper and added the design. This mom already had her son's first name in wood letters, so she requested his last name.

Products Used:
Paper - DCWV, Recollections
Cricut - Birthday Bash, Create a Critter, Cheerful Season

Jinger Adams & The Scrapbooking Queen Design Team Call

Hey Everyone,
I heard some very exciting news early this month!!!!
Jinger Adams and The Scrapbooking Queen is having a Design Team Call.
As some of you may know, Jinger has started her own product line.
I had the great privilege of meeting Jinger back in 2010. We spent the weekend together with Scraping with the Stars (Thanks to Kathy at Paper Phenomenon)

So for my project I decided to make a mini album from an old record album. I went to the Goodwill and found this album that was in decent shape.
When I got it home my husband said I better make sure it wasn't worth any money before I altered it.
So I checked it out online. It would have been worth about $50 if it was in collectors conditions. That would have been awesome, as I only paid .99 cent for it. But it was pretty beat up.

So my first task was to cover the edges with electrical tape. This served two purposes. First the edges were a little beat up, so it covered up the edges. Secondly the album is a little bigger than 12x12 so I was able to use the tape as a little boarder around the paper used to cover the album.
I used black electoral tape but it also comes in colors to match any theme you decide to use.
I turned 30 this month and had a party at my house. The theme Fabulous, Flirty and 30.
Using the Zebra and Pink colors.
I made some of the decoration for the party (3 banners, I don't know what I was thinking. :)
So I had a ton of left over paper from all the decorations. Which was great for this mini album.

There is a pocket on each side of the album, which holds the records. I attached the records using a brad. The brad is hidden by the two pictures in the center of the album. I used pop dots so the brad would not effect the pictures. Then cut a circle at the top of each side of the album.
Using the record as a turn knob you can see 7 additional pictures on each side.
I hope I was able to inspire you today! Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time!

One For the Money!!!!

Hey Everyone,

Check out the bugbytes for a great project!!!!!!!

Early this month One for the Money movie came out based on the book by Janet Evanovich. I love her books. I went to the midnight showing of the movie. I was planning on buying a shirt for the event but completely forgot until the night before. So off to the craft store I went.

I found these iron-ons at Joanns. It came with 4 sheets of 8.5x11.
I got the shirt at Wal-Mart and cut the images out on the cricut. It was super easy!

In case you guys have not read the books. Joe is one of the main characters and he calls Stephanie Plum (another main character) Cupcake.

The shirt works perfectly as my husband's name is also Joe.

and the back of the shirt.

I hope I was able to inspire you today! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the Bugbytes!

Until next time!
