Are we there yet?

It is always great when your friends win GREAT prizes that they can share. My friend Teresa won a weekend scrapbook retreat to Scrapbook Creations in SC, for herself and 11 friends. YAY!

So this is our road trip LO for a trip to SC.
There was a sign at one of the rest areas we stop at, that said we could not hold a meeting at the rest area. After seeing this sign, I said "Man, I was hoping to hold our next crop at a rest stop, but we can't now!" Who would think to have any type of meeting at a rest area????

St Patty's day

So normally I don’t do much for St. Patrick’s Day. I might wear green but we don’t have any special meals or decorate.
However this past St. Patty’s Day, I was away at All Seasons Scrapbook Resort. Everyone wore green that day as Daphne said she would be pinching everyone all day long if they didn’t. We had green biscuits and gravy for breakfast and a traditional corned beef and cabbage with lime flavored sherbet for dinner.

29th Birthday

My birthday this year was great. I got a great flash for my camera from my husband. Two cartridges and My Pink Stamper Stamps from my mom. Mom and I then spent a whole week scrapbooking at All Seasons Scrapbook Resort. I was able to finish my childhood album that week.

I took a ton of pictures and will be working on those LO shortly. Here is the first of that series, My Birthday. My mom stayed the night before my birthday as we were heading out early the next day. She came into my room, with my new flash to take pictures of me and Joe sleeping.
She also got a picture of me watering my veggie garden. It was still really small at that time.

Under the Sea Board Book

Hey Everyone! I am throwing my hat into My Pink Stamper Design Team Call. Her challenge was to create a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge using the following colors......
Orange
Turquoise
Green
Brown

Check out your website for great ideas and more info on the DT call.
I have a friend who son’s First Birthday was a last weekend. I posted a few things that I made for his birthday here. These colors for the challenge fit right into the theme she had of under the sea.

I also made her a 8x8 board book.

This is the front of the book
This is the first pages of the book. It has a picture of the birthday boy and a picture of his mother and sister going through a water spray.
This paper line had super cute stamps to match. I stamped the crab in chocolate chip ink from SU and then used stickles to make him sparkle.

This is the second page of the book. It has a great fold out for extra pictures. I included the kids that attended the party. The first fold in the mini says Friends.

The next page includes the adult guest at the party.

This cute shell is from Life's a Beach

The next page is the guest page. I took a group picture (with my tripod) of all the guests. Then had the guest sign a little note to the birthday boy.

This super cute fish is from create a critter
I used Hello Kitty Font and welded it with the gypsy

Of course a first birthday party would not be complete without a cake. He was not into playing with the cake or even eating it. I love the picture on the second page. He is looking over at his daddy and I could swear he is thinking, you want me to eat THAT, as he points at the cake.
He had cupcakes that had squirt (from Finding Nemo) on the top of them. So this turtle from Life's A Beach fit well with this page.

I read this idea online about having the guest stand with the birthday boy and their gift. What a great idea!!! No need to write down what each person got the child, which makes it super easy to make Thank You Cards. So this page is all of the guests with the birthday boy and his gifts.

I used this jelly fish from Create a Critter a lot throughout this album. But he is so cute, that I just could not help it.
My friend said her favorite under the sea animal is a sea horse, so I had to add this cute guy to the end of the book. He is also from Create a Critter
This is the back cover of the book.

Wall Hanging

Hey Everyone,
How was your weekend? I was able to scrapbook with some great friends. We cropped in Tampa with Scrapendipity Retreats. Brenda was the hostess with the mostess. I will defiantly crop with them again.
I was able to get a lot done, which I will show you over the next couple of days.

First I want to show you a project I did for a friend who’s birthday was yesterday.

I got these frames at Michaels and covered them with Best Creation Dare to Dream Line. My friend’s favorite color is Purple, so this was perfect for her.
