Jinger Adams & The Scrapbooking Queen Design Team Call

Hey Everyone,
I heard some very exciting news early this month!!!!
Jinger Adams and The Scrapbooking Queen is having a Design Team Call.
As some of you may know, Jinger has started her own product line.
I had the great privilege of meeting Jinger back in 2010. We spent the weekend together with Scraping with the Stars (Thanks to Kathy at Paper Phenomenon)

So for my project I decided to make a mini album from an old record album. I went to the Goodwill and found this album that was in decent shape.
When I got it home my husband said I better make sure it wasn't worth any money before I altered it.
So I checked it out online. It would have been worth about $50 if it was in collectors conditions. That would have been awesome, as I only paid .99 cent for it. But it was pretty beat up.

So my first task was to cover the edges with electrical tape. This served two purposes. First the edges were a little beat up, so it covered up the edges. Secondly the album is a little bigger than 12x12 so I was able to use the tape as a little boarder around the paper used to cover the album.
I used black electoral tape but it also comes in colors to match any theme you decide to use.
I turned 30 this month and had a party at my house. The theme Fabulous, Flirty and 30.
Using the Zebra and Pink colors.
I made some of the decoration for the party (3 banners, I don't know what I was thinking. :)
So I had a ton of left over paper from all the decorations. Which was great for this mini album.

There is a pocket on each side of the album, which holds the records. I attached the records using a brad. The brad is hidden by the two pictures in the center of the album. I used pop dots so the brad would not effect the pictures. Then cut a circle at the top of each side of the album.
Using the record as a turn knob you can see 7 additional pictures on each side.
I hope I was able to inspire you today! Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time!

Making Waves

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for stoping by today.

I wanted to share a layout I completed from local trip to Cocoa Beach. I love living in FL and being so close to the beach. We are just a short hour and half drive to the ocean. This trip was with my mom, husband and nephew. Malachi (nephew) is somewhat afraid of the water. He had tubes put in his ears a few years back and he does not like it when water gets in his ears. I was trying to get him to jump the waves but that was not working. So I started picking him up and jumping over the waves. He had a blast.

I used imaginisce Splash Dance paper line. I love the little critters in this collection. I have used this collection on several other layouts and projects so I was out of a lot of stickers and die cuts. After looking at the crab on the paper and the crab from create a critter, I figured I could alter the crab from create a critter to resemble the one from the collection.

I used the sketch from the monthly challenge.  What a great sketch! I love how there are three supporting photos to help showcase the 4x6 photo.

Of course I could not just complete the one page as I am a 2 page scrapper. So I added a second page to with a 5x7 photo. I can't say it enough, I love this paper line. Everything from the creatures to the colors used.

Products Used:
Paper: imaginisce Splash Dance
Buttons: Paper Studio - Bag o Buttons
Cricut: Graphically Speaking (Wave), Create a Critter (Crab), Songbird (title)

Nuts about Sketches ~ All Scrapped Out

Have you guys checked out Nuts About Sketches????
Shawn and the DT over there are some very talented ladies.

Currently they having a Design Team, wish me luck everyone!!!
Here is the sketch that Shawn challenged anyone who thought they were up for being apart of the Nuts About Sketches DT.

And the Two Page LO, because I work better with 2 pages.
This Layout is from my weekend scrapping trip to SC. Melissa had gone to bed earlier than the rest of us. So when we went into the room, we saw her sleeping like this. No clue why I thought it was funny. But I got a case of the giggles. I blame it on it being 5 AM. I knew I had to get a picture of her sleeping. Which was very difficult while having a case of the giggles. When the flash went off she says 'Put a ring on it.' I LOST it. I was bent over laughing at this point. Melissa was not quite asleep and was listening to Beyoncé's Single Ladies song. The things that happen at a crop!!!

Simply Scrapping Crafts - May 7 - Saturday Sketchy Challenges

Hey Everyone!

Check out this weeks Saturday Sketchy Challenges over at Simply Scrapping Crafts.

I really like this picture of me.

Cardstock/Pattern Paper: DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack
Tools: Trimmer (Fiskars), ATG, Cricut - Songbird

As you might have guessed, I am only using the DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack with my week in the life photos. When I first saw this paper, I was not sure about it and didn't think I would use it. However I think that this layout came out really well.
